A dear friend of mine just got a puppy. I had to bring my camera as who does not love puppies! this little sweet thing had so much energy- she made the toddlers look really calm : ) anyway.. here are a few snappies-
I had a photo shoot with a family of 20 a few weeks ago on Bell Island. They were probably one of the easiest larger groups I have ever taken photographs of. The shoot began at 730am, it was foggy and warm- but perfect for taking photos and the family could not have been any nicer and were up for anything.. the grandfather even jumped for me : )
At this special playdate.. the children were from Australia and Italy. So we cranked up the music in the photo studio- danced, jumped and they loved having their photos taken.. especially because they could see their photos come up on the computer screen immediately!
I photographed this adorable family this past January when the twins were just a week old. This weekend I was able to photograph them again : ) .. and one of my favorite parts of my job is I can watch the babies and children grow up over the years. These two little girls got so big and cute and the little boy grew at least two inches! I will be seeing them again in October and It will be great to see the twins sitting up and smiling even more!
I watched the Sally Mann documentary this weekend- as a new friend recommended it to me. I have always been a huge fan of her beautiful and inspiring work. I realized that I have so much color photography in my portfolio that I needed to add a few black and white. I remember the first time I fell in love with that medium in college when I was shooting with a large format camera and then developed the photos in our darkroom at college. It was such an alive feeling I had when the photographs appeared in the processing fluid. Here are a few photos of Amelia. Sally Mann said- “photograph the things you love” – and I did!
