a few of my favorite black and whites from over the fall..

As I left my son home to play football wii with daddy, the girls and I went to Target for some girlie fun time.  I ended up bringing my camera with me, as my college photography teacher always said –” shoot every day- no matter what it is” .  It was raining and I had to cancel my client sessions for the day, so I said why not.. lets have some fun!!  My background is editorial and story telling, as I love it so, but convincing a client to go to target -so I can photograph their children is kind of hard to do.  It is so nice to break out of your shell once in a while!!  anyhoo.. here are a few shots of my girls, Miss Ameila who is 5.5 going on 16 loves for me to take her photos.. and I did not even have to give her gummy bears for this shoot!!

I usually shoot more editorial style, with lots of colors and with a super fun energy as that is what I am drawn to, but for some reason…. I have changed my tune a bit lately.. it is so nice that I can mix it up depending on which creative train I am riding on.  I love these photographs as they are more moody and soulful.  Maybe since is getting chilly and darker outside I am just feeling more of that : )
